Before the Procedure

  • Fasting is not required, unless special anesthesia is planned.

  • Have a light meal before your appointment.

  • Continue taking your regular medications for chronic conditions as usual, unless instructed otherwise.

  • Inform the dentist about any medication allergies.

After the Procedure

  • Avoid chewing on the treated tooth until the permanent filling or crown is placed.

  • Avoid hard foods for 48 hours.

  • Mild pain or pressure for 2–5 days is normal.

  • Take the prescribed painkillers or antibiotics as directed.

  • If you experience severe swelling or unbearable pain, visit the clinic immediately.

  • A crown is recommended to protect the treated back tooth.
